Fire-rated profile extrusion compound for mass transit applications

KYDEX® P88 is a proprietary, high performance thermoplastic profile extrusion compound designed for use in mass transit interior applications for subways, vans, buses and trains.

KYDEX® P88 meets the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and the Federal Rail Administration (FRA) INFORMATION requirements for smoke emission and flammability as tested under ASTM E-662 and ASTM E-162. It is the ideal thermoplastic to solve your mass transportation needs.

  • Extruded trim pieces to cover seams or exposed edges when mating or joining KYDEX® thermoplastic
  • APPLICATIONS components
  • Meets flame spread and smoke development requirements listed in 49 CFR 238
  • Easy to clean graffiti/spray paint, lipstick, pen, grease and grime with cleaners such as Soft Scrub®, Fantastik®,
  • and citrus based cleaners such as Citri Kleen HD® (avoid ammoniated cleaners)
  • Resistant to a wide range of concentrated chemicals and solvents, withstands frequent cleaning without staining
  • or fading
